Bourbon Cold Brew Cocktail

This cocktail brings together the warm, complex notes of bourbon and is an intriguing twist on traditional bourbon drinks.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 2 oz Cold Brew Coffee
  • Maple Syrup or Simple Syrup
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Ice Cubes
  • Aromatic Chocolate Bitters

Instructions:

  1. Start by combining equal parts of cold brew coffee and bourbon in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Next, it’s time to add a touch of sweetness. Add a dash of simple syrup or maple syrup to enhance the sweetness.
  3. To elevate the aromas and add a hint of complexity, add a few dashes of aromatic bitters and vanilla extract to the drink.
  4. Once all the ingredients are mixed together, strain them into an ice-filled rocks glass.
  5. For the finishing touch, garnish your creation with a twist of orange peel or a sprinkle of freshly grated nutmeg.

The Bourbon Cold Brew Cocktail is a refreshing delight where the rich notes of caramel, oak, and warmth from the bourbon blend harmoniously with cold-brewed coffee. Together, they create a drink that is both invigorating and satisfying for the senses.

Cold Brew Martini

The Cold Brew Martini is a captivating twist on the classic martini, infusing it with the smooth, rich flavors of cold brew coffee.

Its coffee-forward profile, combined with the crispness of vodka, and subtle sweetness of coffee liqueur, provides a harmonious and robust experience that you’ll surely love.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Cold Brew Coffee
  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Coffee Liqueur (Kahlua or Tia Maria)
  • Ice Cubes

Instructions:

  1. To prepare a Cold Brew Martini, begin by chilling a martini glass in the freezer or by filling it with ice and allowing it to chill while you prepare the cocktail.
  2. Next, combine equal parts cold brew coffee, vodka, and coffee liqueur in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  3. Shake the mixture gently for 20 to 30 seconds to chill the drink and create a harmonious mixture.
  4. Now strain the mixture into a martini glass and garnish the drink with a few Coffee beans for an added touch of elegance.

Whether you’re seeking a refined after-dinner drink or a sophisticated cocktail to impress at social gatherings, the Cold Brew Martini is a fantastic choice.

Cold Brew Negroni

The Cold Brew Negroni is a captivating twist on the classic Negroni cocktail, infusing it with the rich flavors of cold brew coffee.

It sounds odd, since coffee and gin aren’t as commonly associated as coffee and whiskey or vodka, for instance. In spite of this, the cold brew mellows out some of the Negroni’s rough edges, and the inherent chocolate notes are complemented beautifully by the flavors of Campari and sweet vermouth.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Cold Brew Coffee
  • 1 oz Gin
  • 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • 1 oz Campari
  • Ice Cubes

Directions:

  1. To prepare a Cold Brew Negroni, start by chilling a rocks glass by filling it with ice or placing it in the freezer.
  2. Next, combine equal parts gin, sweet vermouth, Campari and cold brew coffee in a cocktail filled with ice.
  3. Shake the mixture gently for 20 to 30 seconds to blend the ingredients and chill the drink.
  4. Finally strain the mixture into a rocks glass and garnish the drink with a twist of orange peel.

The Cold Brew Negroni is an excellent choice if you enjoy exploring flavors and contrasting them with each other.

Cold Brew White Russian Cocktail

The Cold Brew White Russian is a refreshing take on the traditional White Russian cocktail. By swapping out regular coffee for cold brew, the cocktail becomes lighter and more invigorating, making it perfect for warm weather.

Chris and I came to the Santa Ynez Valley because Chris and I came to the Santa Ynez Valley because of a shared interest in wine. Somehow, that interest also led us to trying something completely new together.

At @buttonwoodwinery , Chris rode Belle for his first-ever horseback ride, while I was paired with Banana Bread for my first time back on a horse since my Girl Scout days nearly 20 years ago.

Neither of us arrived in Santa Ynez expecting horseback riding to become part of the story, but it ended up being one of the experiences we talked about most afterward.

I love when reporting on a place takes me somewhere I didn’t expect to go.

This Greek wine bar allowed me to try Greek wines, which I haven't had before. This is something I've started valuing, tasting new wines when I have the chance. It allows you to expand your palate and your mind. It's especially helpful while I'm fully immersed in my wine studies to get to associate a taste with a specific region or grape I'm learning about.
